Export to Doc Instructions
Before using this feature make sure your drop down filter category selector doesnt say All, but that an category is selected. Whatever records you are viewing for that specific category will be exported to a Palm doc file. You need to have a doc reader installed to access those files. Each part of your transcript is exported to a different file so you have to put them together manually in another doc file. You can easily do this by cutting and pasting. At this time this feature is not automated due to limitations in the code.

Special Instructions:
Once you begin filling a record, the information above the blue toolbar stays the same throughout the forms. Please only edit these fields within the "Property" tab to avoid any possible errors.
If you want to transfer an Open House Appointment to your datebook, make sure you are in the "contact" tab. The date in the "Date" field and the time will be transferred to your datebook. You can edit any other details of the appointment in your datebook.
When using "Export to Doc" or "Export to Memo", make sure you have not selected "All" from the Popup Filter list. You can only export categories at a time.

Special instructions for upgrading from CarInfo 3.0:
In order to see the names of the cars in the table and to add them to the car list you will need to access the extra info form and tap on add car to db for each car in the general form (Car Info button).
Make sure the pick lists have at least one record before using the pick list button with blank field. If there is a blank record in the pick list then new ones wont be added. To avoid this fill in the record and then use the pick list button if it is your first time using that pick list. This doesnt apply to the car pick list if youve added cars to the DB in the General Form.
Please back up all your previous data before installing this upgrade, especially long text fields, to your memo pad, since this is a totally recreated database making it impractical for an automatic upgrade. Previous Car Info programs are not compatible with this version. After installing the upgrade and making sure all your records are visible in the new program you will need to UNINSTALL your previous Car Info program. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT uninstall it via the Palm "delete program" feature in the standard launcher since some databases may be deleted, and you will loose some data. You can delete CarInfo using a third party file manager like FileZ (Freeware) or BeamPro (Shareware) for PalmOS. Search for them on Google.
We apologize for any inconvenience. Future updates will hopefully not involve this and will be compatible with this new type of database we created.
