The Image viewer (Browser) is similar to Windows Explorer. You simply navigate the directory structure as desired and any image files found in a directory are displayed in miniature (Thumbnails).
This lets you keep an overview of the images available at the same time as letting you quickly view and select specific images. XnView can be run without installation and this makes it perfect to be used as a "photograph album on CD", especially as it is free of charge for private use.
As well as offering easy image viewing, XnView also offers more advanced features such as Web page creation, contact prints, multiple conversion (format and transformation), slide shows, screen capturing and Twain support for scanners and digital cameras.

XnView nLite Addon 1.96.2 is considered as a smart and useful utility that is known as a group of utilities for viewing and converting more than 400 graphic formats. If you want to reduce the time needed for installing your OS you can use nLite addons to create your own bootable image of Windows.
Addons are third-party applications developed by other producers than the nLite developers, designed to be included in nLite as addons. They are specially customized so that they can be added to nLite in order to create a preinstall image of Windows to ease a users work when reinstalling Window on their computer.
You just add these addons, create your image and when you reinstall your Windows all your favorite programs will be there just like they were before. It's a fast and easy way to keep a backup especially if you have a lot of programs installed on your computer.

Total Commander is the greatest File Manager on Windows platform (well, let's say that it shares the first place with FAR and DOS Navigator). The great thing about TC is that it allows users to write plug-ins.
It's very simple to install. Download the plug-in, drop it in Total Commanders Plug-in directory, then register it: (Configuration / Options / Plug-ins / Lister Plug-ins (.WLX) / Configure / Add).
You may also need to disable external viewers (IrfanView/Xnview) for gfx:
(Configuration / Options / Edit/View / Configure internal viewer... / uncheck Use Irfanview/Xnview to load graphics other than BMP).
