The builtin Tasks PIM in Palm OS 5 lacks the ability to sort the tasks list by description. TasksSort gives you the ability to sort the tasks list ascending or descending by description. TasksSort somewhat integrates with the Tasks program - you can launch TasksSort from Tasks and when the list is sorted go directly back to Tasks. TasksSort is released under the GNU General Public License v2.

OPTasks is a Task list (or Todo list) for PocketPC. It is compatible with the windows mobile bundled software (pocket outlook), but it is different because:

TaskMaster is a ThinkDB database which utilizes the Palm Address Book to link points of contact to your tasks (e.g. to whom the task is assigned, for whom the task is being done and other interested parties).

It can add and remove entries in the Palm Date Book for adding reminder alarms and to reserve time blocks in your schedule (requires datebook plugin - included in .zip).

Taskmaster also allows you to track due dates/times, pending dates, and completion dates/times as well as percent complete, reasons pended, task notes, contact notes and more.

Pocket Task Manager provides a view of running tasks and processes with a look and feel similar to the Windows NT/2000 task manager.
The green light at the bottom of the screen will switch to the selected application. The red light will terminate the selected application or process.
Terminating processes is an advanced feature. Terminating the wrong process can cause you to have to reset your PocketPC device. When terminating processes you should make sure you understand the purpose of the process that you are terminating.

Y-Tasks application and plug-in modules are all self-signed, thus they are missing some important functionalities. The main server is made to implement these functionalities, which currently include process & tasks Killing and changing file type mappings with Filetypes plug-in module. This sis file is unsigned and you are required to sign it with your own developer certificate.

Enhancements:

• Y-Tasks main application fixed a bit, also max heap increased thus Memory status should now work better.
• Removed some debugging stuff from Main server, so it should also be nicer to use now.
• Also Trace has now small floating window, so you can see the CPU & RAM details real time on your screen while debugging your applications performance.
