Some Palm M500s and M505s have sporadically quit Hotsyncing. One way to solve this issue is to drain the battery on the Palm until it is absolutely dead. Then charge the Palm back up and it will Hotsync again.
While this does not work on every Palm, weve found it works on about 8 or 9 out of every 10 Palms.
This FREE utility will drain your battery for you, speeding up the process for you. It should drain a full battery in about 3 to 4 hours. This program also has instructions on it as to what you are to do during the procedure.
This should get your USB Hotsync back operational. This is not guaranteed in anyway to get your Hotsync operational again. However, its about a 90% chance that it will work.
If your Palm will not Hotsync then you will need to get someone to download it and install it onto their Palm and beam it to you, or if you can do an Infared Hotsync or Serial Hotsync, then you can get this program on your Palm that way.

You can change the size of CalcNote with one click. It doesnt capture the keyboard focus from other programs. CalcNote is just like your desk, where along with business documents there is always a sheet of paper, pen and calculator enabling you to write down the information and make the necessary calculations without bothering yourself with technical features of your Pocket PC.


Typical cases of CalcNote usage. Sometimes you need to write down quickly some phone number or address. Your interlocutor may not like waiting for you to run you Pocket PC, open Contact application, make new entry and enter phone number in the appropriate field. Its much easier to click the CalcNote icon, press the New button to create a new note and write down the number or draw an approach plan manually. CalcNote will automatically name the note using the first line of the text and save the note on the PC. Thus, you can create notes quickly without being afraid that some of them will be missed. In your spare time, you can rewrite your notes into the appropriate program, classify the information and delete unneeded note from your computer.

Sometimes its very important to make calculations quickly. For example, youve got e-mail containing figures to be calculated. Of course you can switch into your standard calculator that will cover the whole screen and the e-mail with the important information, but its not the best way. Its more convenient to click once the CalcNote icon - a calculator that covers only one fourth of the screen will be opened. You still can see the figures in the e-mail - you can easily write them down or copy them into the calculator, make necessary calculations and then copy the result to any of the programs
