Free public SMS/MMS service. Can be used to send SMS from Mobile to Mobile, or from PC to Mobile.
Note: technology that we use is patent pending.
How it works
Basic principles of service based on patent pending technology are:
A) We use internet to send and receive SMS or MMS messages,
B) Every user MUST HAVE SMS Messenger by smsplanet.org - free applications for Mobiles and Desktops,
C) Price of one 300 letters SMS is equivalent to a price for transmission of 1,3 KB of data (1,3kb = 0,0016 EUR in Orange UK, valid for 10MB/month plan, testing device: Nokia N70),
D) You pay no fees to smsplanet.org. You pay only for transmitted data to your carrier/operator (T-mobile, Orange etc.)

Wi-Send is a Symbian based innovative utility tool for 60 series. Wi-Send allows Smartphone user-community to directly send a file present on their Handsets (Inbox or on any drive) to any other device capable of receiving via IR (infrared) or Bluetooth. Wi-Send enables users to send or exchange any file from their handset with others.
It comes with a very easy to use GUI and has a very small memory footprint (just 65kb). Wi-Send is innovative in a sense that it does not restrict the recipient to just SymbianOS phone, but the recipient can be any PC or Phone or any Device with IR or Bluetooth connectivity

Ericsson T18d Phone Review is a review of the Ericsson T18d TDMA cellular phone.

This system extension allows you to send short text messages from applications supporting the "Send..." command, for example the built-in Contacts, Memos, Calendar, Tasks.
Compatibility
Tested on Treo 600 and Treo 650. Should work on Treo 700p as well
Theoretically, it can also send SMS on other devices if there is an SMS-handling application registered in the system.
Usage
Select "Send..." from the menu
Select "SMS"
The text is pasted into the message, now you can fill in the "To:" field and click Send
Limitations
It can only send Text, exactly like if you typed it yourself. The receiver will also get the data as text only. For Memos this is obviously not a problem. For Contacts, Calendar events, and Tasks you can use RNS: TreoVCardReceiver to automatically transfer the incoming data into the associated application.
The amount of text is limited by the medium, you cannot send more than a few hundreds of characters.
And of course no binary data (it would be hard to find the binary file to match the size limit anyway).
What about the built-in Messaging/MMS?
On the Treo 600 you can send this kind of data with the built-in MMS application (call "Send", pick "MMS") - but there is no option to select SMS instead of MMS. On Treo 650 it is called "Messaging" instead of MMS and it is even worse (all you get is: "The messaging application does not support this type of item.").
