On each level the number of jewels you need to collect is displayed at the top right of the screen in the score bar.
Along side the number of jewels to collect is the number you have currently collected, this will increase as you collect each one.
You start the game with 5 lives, these are also indicated at the top of the screen.
Every time you fall off a platform into space you will lose a life, so roll carefully.
An extra life will be awarded when you complete each level.

Trills Checkbox
You can turn the checkered finger hole (for trills) display off completely by using the Trills Checkbox. This allows you to view pure alternate fingerings, without the distraction of the trill fingers.
An individual fingering looks like the bottom 2 sections of a small recorder, as shown below (in a hypothetical fingering):
Trill Position Indicator
This indicator works as follows: when it points up ("^"), this means that the requested note is obtained when the trilling fingers are up; when the indicator points down ("v"), this means that the note is obtained when the fingers are down.
Info Buttons
The "Info" button means that there is additional information concerning a particular fingering. Tapping the button will display the information in an Alert box.<<less
