Delta Minaret 3
It acts like a mosque in your pocket. Wherever you go, Salah times are a simp more>> Delta Minaret Details
Delta Minaret performs 4 main functions
1- Salah times Calculation Delta Minaret user can choose from a database of nearly 500 locations. If he can??t find the location he wants, he can add his own location to the database. Delta Minaret will then calculate the Salah times for that chosen location. The default location used is the home city in the system??s settings. There is a partial Adhan file and Salah reminders to remind the user of his daily Salah. Minaret can also generate outlook reminders for any of the five Salah for any period of time day, week or month. The user will also be able to choose the method for calculating Asr time following either the Hanafi School or the Shafi School
Hanafi School:
Asr time is when length of shadow = 2 * length of object + noon shadow
Shafi School:
Asr time is when length of shadow = length of object + noon shadow
The application also allows the user to choose the twilight angles for Fajr/Isha calculation. Fajr starts with the morning twilight (dawn) while Isha starts at the end of the evening twilight (dusk). There has been a debate on which twilight angle values should be used to calculate Fajr and Isha times taking into consideration that smaller twilight angles produce later Fajr and earlier Isha. Delta Minaret allows the user to choose among the five conventions currently used by Islamic organizations in various countries and offers the flexibility for the user to add his own angles.
2- Gregorian / Hijri Conversion Delta Minaret also attempts to calculate the Hijri Date corresponding to a given Gregorian date and vice versa. However, since calculations are not based on actual moon sighting, there may be a +/-1 day discrepancy. In addition, Delta Minaret User doesn??t have to worry about daylight saving adjustment since it is taken into consideration when calculating Salah times. It also saves the user settings so that he doesn??t have to repeat them over and ove<<less

- Tapping on departure or arrival column brings up station information (a subsequent Copy command will copy this text to the clipboard). It also allows alarms to be set or cleared.
- Tapping on direction highlight toggles direction (saves one tap).
- Highlighting (color or bold) alternating fare zones in station list popups.
- A Preference Form, to enable or disable the following capabilities:
o Displaying todays schedule automatically (including Holidays) at startup
o AM/PM or 24-hour time format
o Ability to keep station popups centered on last choice (PalmOS 4.0 or greater only)
o Default minutes before triggering an alarm (see below for a more complete description of alarms)
- An Alarms Form, to show which alarms are currently set. Alarms are described in detail below.
- Pannable Color higher-resolution System Route Map (requires PalmOS 3.5 or greater)
- A Menu Item for switching to the BART Quick Planner (if it is installed).
- Support for 5-way navigator button (found on certain PalmOne models).
Alarm Information
Starting with Version 3.4, Caltrain+ has the ability to trigger alarms a specified number of minutes before a train departs or arrives. This is a complex feature that bears further explanation (though the goal is to make usage as intuitive as possible). Here are the details:
- Alarms are recurring (e.g. for commuters who ride the train on a regular basis). For non-recurring alarms there is already the Datebook, and this should be used.
- To set an alarm, start by tapping a time in either the departure or arrival column of a particular train. This brings up the detail popup window, which contains the alarm set/clear button. The button label toggles depending on whether the alarm is set or cleared.
- Next select the number of minutes before the train arrives/departs that you wish to be notified, using the popup to the right of the alarm set/clear button. Currently 5-60 minutes in increments of 5 minutes is supported. The default number of minutes may be specified in the preferences panel.
- Once an alarm is set, the popup is locked and displays the number of minutes selected as the advance notification interval. Clearing the alarm will unlock the popup.
- An alarm will be triggered the specified number of minutes before every train matching the schedule class. I.e., if an alarm is set for a M-F train, it will be triggered every weekday until cleared.
- There is logic for detecting holidays, and an alarm that would otherwise trigger will be skipped on a holiday (e.g. a M-F alarm will not trigger on Labor Day). The holidays recognized are limited to Xmas, Presidentss Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving.
- A train for which an alarm is set is highlighted in red/bold in the display.
- A maximum of 4 alarms may be set concurrently.
- The Alarms Form can be used to 1) see which alarms are set; 2) cancel individual alarms; 3) cancel all alarms.
- This feature works best with the Attention Manager (PalmOS 4.0 or greater). Earlier versions of Palm will work but the notification menu is crude and there is no snoozing or nagging.
- You can only set alarms for a holiday on the day of the holiday, and those alarms will be one-shots (non-repeating). Otherwise there are no restrictions (e.g. you can set a M-F alarm on a Saturday.
Troubleshooting & Known Problems
- "Blank display" (Grid shown but no text): this has been reported on the Treo 600 and 650 models. The cause has not been isolated: it seems to affect only a small number of units, and seems related to firmware (upgrading to a new firmware version has been known to both cause and solve this problem. No known workaround
- Resets after installing Caltrain Application. This is occasionally seen on all models, though again the Treos seem the most susceptible. Here are several things to try (ordered in increasing order of severity) that have been known to work on occasion:
1. explicitly delete Caltrain app from your handheld, and try to re-install
2. extract .prc file from the .zip archive instead of downloading directly (some browsers known to have a hard time handling .prc binaries)
3. Clean out your Hotsync directories. This from a user: "I found the last two versions of the Caltrain application that I was trying to update inside the "Install" folder which was inside my User Folder. For some reason, that application remained in that folder even after I deleted it from the handheld and from the Quick Install application. After I deleted the .prc files from the "Install" folder and rebooted the machine, everything worked normally. I used the Quick Install application and successfully installed the new program that I originally wanted to install"
4. Search your system and delete all instances of the Caltrain .prc files. Then delete Caltrain app from your handheld. Finally download a fresh .zip, extract the .prc, and try to install that.
5. Try using the free dbScan utility on your handheld.
6. Try (soft) resetting your handheld before attempting steps 1-5.
Enhancements:
- Updated to reflect the April 2, 2007 schedule and fares.
- New Features:
- "T" mode for displaying Redwood City Transfers. You select this by toggling the "T", "L", "A" popup thats immediately below the "Caltrain Schedule" header in the upper left hand corner of the main display. In "T" mode, routes requiring a RWC transfer will be displayed in bold green in the Train column. Tapping on Train or Origin columns will give the number of the train you are to transfer to; tapping on the Destination column will give information for the transfer train, including departure time.
- Trains form for displaying all the stops for a train rather than the converse. You can enter this form by either 1) tapping the Trains View button shown in the Schedule Detail form; or 2) selecting Trains in the Commands menu. If you navigate via the Trains View button the schedule for the corresponding will be shown. While in the Trains View, the 5-way navigator will behave the same way as in the main view.
- New abbreviated Help form.
- Bugfixes:
- Corrected a problem where alarms would cause the wrong train (or no train at all) to be bolded.

In Kakenukero (Sprinting), you run as fast as possible over the bumpy terrain and make your way to the finish line by quickly spinning the mouse. Click the left mouse button to hop over steep hills and deep dips. In Tobibako (High Jump), you run fast by quickly spinning the mouse. When you reach the arrow on the ground, click the left mouse button. If you time it correctly, you'll land on a spring board. You'll launch high into the air and a measuring wall will begin to build next to you. Spin the mouse to go slightly higher. When you begin to slow down, click the left mouse button to stop building the wall, then click the left mouse button to slide over the wall. The higher you let the wall build, the more points you get, but you must slide over the wall to receive the points.
In Oooka (Tug-of-war), you are the man on the far left. Drag the man in the middle past your arrow as quickly as possible to win. Spin the mouse to build strength, then click the left mouse button to tug the man along. Repeat this until you pass the arrow on the left. In Hitonage (Shotput), you spin the mouse to spin the man and gain momentum. Then click the left mouse button and hold it until the angle line is at a 45 degree angle. You must do this to throw the other man as far as possible before you fall off the cliff. You can get best results by spinning quickly, by getting the angle close to 45 degrees and by throwing the man as straight as possible. In Fire (High-Dive), you spin the mouse to gain speed and jump of the cliff. When you land on the trampoline, wait until it stretches as much as it can, then click the left mouse button to fly into the air. Keep bouncing as long as you can by spinning the mouse when the man flys up.

TripMate 1.0
TripMate is a program that helps you remember the route. more>>
It can be route from conference room to coffee-room, it can be a tourist trip, it can be pathway in labyrinth.
During first traversal you make notes in you phone, specifying direction of movement and target of each step. Phone remembers how much time each steps takes. Then you can just inspect information about this trip and check duration of each stage and the whole trip. You can also replay it in forward and backward direction. So if somebody show you the shortest way to coffee machine, you can easily find the way back and can repeat this trip in future.
Description
The main menu of TripMate contains list of trips. Add new trip and specify its description. The program automatically switches to the mode of specifying the trip. In this mode you are adding trip points. For each point you should specify direction and optional description (target). When all steps are specified, choose Finish command to end the trip. It is possible to edit description and direction of each point, but it is not possible to add or remove new points to the trip. If you close application in enter trip mode, it will be in the same mode after restart. TripMate automatically calculate time of each stage (point time is set when you execute Enter command)
When trip is finished, you can view and edit trip points (List command) and relay trip in forward or backward direction (Navigation command). Navigation is performed using the same time scale. You can suspend/resume navigation or visa versa move current position to the next point. Navigation is perform in graphic or text mode. In graphic mode, TripMate shows movement of marker through the graph representing the route. In text mode, it shows description of next point, elapsed and left time for each step and the whole trip.
When navigation is suspended, current position cursor start rotation. When navigation is finished (last point is reached), arrow cursor is replaced with filled circle.

PalmRunner 1.2 is renowned as an easy to use, high performance timer application which can be used for interval training.
It will give you the possibility to define a sequence of timers. You can change the interval times by tapping on the + or - button or writing directly in the fields. When a timer is finished a acoustic signal will be given, the first signal will be a single short beep, the next two short beeps and the third a long beep. The fourth signal will again be one short beep. The complete sequence can be repeated by the number of times given in the repeat box.
Sound Test Files 1.0.3
Sound files for use with HandDee-SA Spectrum Analyzer to calibrate your loudspeaker Hi-Fi etc. : Equispaced, Sweeping & IM Test tones more>>
"ever_rising1.wma" and "freq_sweep.wma" consists of a tone that increase in pitch endlessly. The harmonics are designed to fade in from the bottom and fade out at high pitch. It is the equivalent of the visual ever rising staircase. An audio perception paradox. Its application is in the checking of audio equipment frequency response. As the harmonic peaks sweep through the spectrum, you can see the locations of resonant peaks. A peak profiling line that holds the most recents spectral peaks for more than 3 seconds will give a stable peaking envelop which is the frequency response curve of the loudspeaker system.
"intermodulation.wma" consists of two sine waves of 1KHz and 1.1KHz. If the amplitude response of the loudspeaker system is perfectly linear and there is no saturation or amplitude distortion in any part of the system, then there are only spectral peaks at 1KHz and 1.1KHz. Other wise, you will find other spectral peaks, notably at 1-n*0.1KHz, 1.1+n*0.1KHz, 2.1KHz, 2.1+/-0.1KHz, +/-0.2KHz etc..
"sine_all522.wma" consists of sine waves of 1KHz, 2KHz, 3KHz, 4KHz and 5KHz having same amplitude. Under ideal condition, they should create 5 equal spaced spectral peaks in an audio spectrum analyzer. For the overall system having flat response, the 5 peaks should have the same height. If it does not, the problem may be due to one or more of the pocketPC output, any external amplifier, speaker, microphone, signal amplifier, and analogue to digital converter. It is also possible for one part in the system to compensate for imperfection in another part, such as the equalizer or equalizing amplifier.
"square.wma" is a simple 100Hz pulse. It can be used to see the step response of the overall system. A stable triggering of the waveform is needed.
To use the files, select it in a MediaPlayer. Also select looping or repeating mode of playback. Then you can begin to play the sound file. Most players create an artificial silent time between repetitions. The ears can detect this easily. But the program can skip over the silent period if we choose the long-time average mode. For accurate frequency measurement, the narrow band analysis should be used. However, the wider shape of spectral peaks for wide band analysis makes peaks easy to identify and measure.
Normally, you will connect your earphone output to the audio equipment under test. Then you bring the pocketPC near the speaker of the system, and run a spectrum or spectrogram display porgram while the Media or MP3 Player is running in the background. Some Media Players amy not be able to produce continuous sound even within the time span of the sound file, which cannot be used.
