Performance Monitor 1.0
Performance Monitor is a program that precisely monitors the state of the system on a Pocket PC. more>>
It displays in real time the amount of memory used by the running programs (Main Memory) and the amount of memory used by the installed programs (Program Memory).
It displays in graph format, updated every second, the processor activity of your Pocket PC, allowing you to check load peaks. It will also show a message when it considers (arbitrarily) that a program is consuming too much CPU power and will prompt you to close it. However, this window is often in the background.
Performance Monitor can also show the running threads on the Pocket PC but doesnt make the distinction between a thread in a program and the program in general.
Performance Monitor is also incapable of showing the priority level given to each thread, and is satisfied to give fragmented information on the execution time of the threads. This information is only displayed, it is impossible to interact with it, such as closing the threads.
Lastly, Performance Monitor can be minimised in the task bar of the Pocket PC (the bar at the bottom) and provides a condensed display that allows via colour coding, to continue to monitor the processor activity. As for the general display, the percentage of activity can not be set (it is just an assessment using the colour conventions and the height of the display bars).

Basically, its an electronic instrument that you play without touching: it has two antennae and it is the movement of your hand in relation to these that changes the volume and frequency of the sound that it produces.
The Pocket PC of course doesnt have antennas so it is controlled by moving the stylus on the screen: horizontal movement changes the frequency, vertical movement the volume.
There are numerous options to modify the sounds so that you can play with effects (high and low frequency limits, delay, tremolo, etc). The buttons are bit small, you have to peck at them a bit.
This program is of course totally useless for most of us, but it is an excellent demonstration which will delight children, young and old.
