Portable System Spec 2.67 is a useful tool which provides system specifications for the system.
Alex Nolans System Spec is designed to provide you details about the hardware on your system.
It lets you see, save and print a complete specifications of your PC and perform various windows functions.
The application needs no installation and leaves no tracks on your system. Windows function such as shutting down and run can be performed from the System menu. The Control Panel menu allows you to quickly open items from the Control Panel.
System specification reports can be exported to CSV and System Spec can now export the system information displayed on the main system to a HTML file.
Major Features:
- New printer window which displays information about your installed printers and virtual printer drivers.
- New process window and new task window.
- System Spec now works a lot better with Windows 98. The CPU usage and meters now work on Windows 98.
- CD / DVD information shown in the screenshot below. This information allows you to identify your optical drives and list their reading and writing capabilities.
- One of the most useful new features of the CD/DVD information window is its ability to list the CD/DVD drive's reading and writing capabilities. With many different CD/DVD drives around and often no capability indication on the front of the drive this feature can tell exactly what kind of drive is installed in staff, customers, friends, and other computers you may be working with.
- Another useful feature is the button to analyze the inserted media. This will tell what kind of media is in the CD/DVD drive. This is useful for DVD drives which can write to both DVD and CD media types.

Up to 65.000 independant counters can count up or down in steps of one second. When a counter reaches zero it triggers an alarm. more>>
The count values are shown on the left side of the screen. Every counter may have a name which is shown on the right side and may use more than one line. Coloumn widths are adjustable. In between are five buttons for each of the counters. From left to right their functions are: Stop, count up, count down, settings (the symbol S opens the window shown below) and set counter to zero. If a counter has erroneously been set to zero, the count value can be restored from the clipboard (menu/edit/paste). A counter can be shifted up or down on the screen when it has the cursor by tapping on the arrow buttons next to "New". The counters can be sorted into categories. All counters of one category can be controlled simultaneously using the menu.
In the window shown below the category of this counter can be changed, an alarm melody can be selected and the counter can be deleted. The time set below the symbols d.h:m:s is being saved, so the counter may be started repeatedly to count down from this value and stop at zero just by touching the button "count down from".
The count value numbers can only be modified when the counter is stopped. The maximum count value is 10,000 days. Negative count values are also possible.
Scrolling with the keys is performed line by line when a counter has the cursor or else page by page. The cursor can be cancelled by tapping on the coloumn adjustment or on one of the scroll arrows, which always scroll page by page.
An alarm can be set with a precision of one second. But when the Palm is being switched off, the operating system checks only once a minute for pending alarms. So an alarm may be up to one minute late.
All melodies for alarms are editable using the menu and the loudness is adjustable.
