Portable Data Eraser 2.0 brings you a flexible tool to erase your data safely. Portable Data Eraser is the portable version of Data Eraser developed to be able to run from a USB flash drive or any other portable device.
Portable Data Eraser completely implements the US Department of Defense DOD 5220.22 M clearing and sanitizing standard, to gives you confidence that once deleted, your data is gone forever and can not be recovered. When you delete a file, the operating system does not delete file contents from the disk - it just mark the file as deleted in file allocation table, but the data of the file is still in your hard disk.
There are many tools available which can let anybody easily recover your sensitive files.. The file contents remains on disk until another file happens to overwrite it.
Advanced hardware recovery tools, may even restore overwritten files by analyzing latent magnetic traces. Even after the Recycle Bin has been emptied or the hard drive has been formatted, data can still be recovered unless it has been erased by a Data Eraser.
