Lahman Baseball Database (Microsoft Access) 5.4 is a program providing Major League Baseball from 1871 through 2006 with pitching, hitting, and fielding statistics. It includes data from the two current leagues (American and National), the four other "major" leagues (American Association, Union Association, Players League, and Federal League), and the National Association of 1871-1875.

This database was created by Sean Lahman, who pioneered the effort to make baseball statistics freely available to the general public. What started as a one man effort in 1994 has grown tremendously, and now a team of researchers have collected their efforts to make this the largest and most accurate source for baseball statistics available anywhere.

What is IrSquirt?
IrSquirt is an application that allows existing PalmOS based applications to Beam files via infrared to and from PocketPC based PDAs, including pre-PocketPC 2002 devices. No modification to the existing PalmOS applications is required.
Background
PalmOS based devices use an industry standard called "IrOBEX" (IrDA Object Exchange) for infrared file transfers. This is the same protocol used in a number of personal organizers and infrared equipped cellular telephones. Palm and most PalmOS based applications refer to the use of this protocol as Beaming. Presumably Beaming is intended to conjure up images of svelte pre-Priceline.com William Shatner transferring important information to his pointy eared sidekick.
Although Microsoft was directly involved with the development of the IrOBEX specification, Windows CE devices prior to PocketPC 2002 did not offer it. Instead, for reasons known only to Microsoft, CE devices and Microsoft applications used a closed, proprietary protocol called IrSquirt. Presumably IrSquirt is intended to conjure up images of a much older Captain Kirk sitting on the, uh, command chair struggling with a photon torpedo.
That disturbing thought notwithstanding, the fact remained that Microsoft PDAs prior to PocketPC 2002 cannot communicate with Palm PDAs via infrared. The devices use different, and very incompatible, communication protocols.
Enter IrSquirt 1.1. This application allows the user to switch PalmOS beaming from IrOBEX to Microsofts IrSquirt protocol for sending and receiving. Applications act as before, they are simply communicating using a different protocol.

Mileage Analyser 1.0 is a tool for Microsoft Windows Mobile compatible devices (PocketPC), saving and calculating a history of vehicle performance data. Input some simple data every time you fill your car up with fuel and Mileage Analyser will work out your fuel consumption (MPG) and your cost per mile (PPM).

Data is stored on your device in XML format enabling you to analyse it with spreadsheet or database reporting software.

Cubicle Chaos is based on a game originally release for the PC and created by Rapture Technologies. Its a brick-smasher where you have to destroy the office cubicles with their employees. Graphically, it is clean and well done.

Intensive use can produce horizontal lines at the bottom of the screen, so beware. The interest of the game is limited to beating a competitor or your own high score,s o its a pity Microsoft has not created a table of worldwide High Scores.

Group Manager helps managing a user group by tracking attendance, holding raffles and getting some basic attendance statistics. The group database is synchronized between the device and the desktop PC.
