The Time based variation links two databases, while the Service based variation links three. The Pay Period database keeps track of the pay periods as a whole, with each record an individual pay period. The Commissions database, accessed through the link field in Pay Period, keeps track of the actual sessions performed. Since it is a linked database, it will bring up only the sessions associated with the source link, i.e., they get grouped by pay period. This makes determining your pay check a matter of running a report at the end of the pay period.
