Calculate Wind Chill and Heat Index.

Wind chill tells you how cold if feels when heat loss effects of wind are subtracted from temperatures below 35 F, 2 C.
Heat index tells you how hot it feels when effects of humidity are added to temperatures above 90 F, 32 C.

This program was written in CASL by the folks at CASLsoft as a means to show you how easy it is to turn your ideas into PDA applications.

This version requires no runtime, and comes complete with an easy installation program. Complete source code is provided, but not required. Please enjoy with our compliments!

wthrcalc has four different weather related calculations.
Wind chill - relative humidity - F to C, C to F - and heat index.
The Wind chill has both the old formula (named aeronautical since it was told to me that it was more for wing icing and such on air planes so it is based on 9 meters up), and the new formula (named civil for feet planted on ground).
There is supposed to be a new revision yet, which might become civil 2.
The heat index takes its values from the Drybulb and Relative Humidity fields, insert input there.
If values are entered outside of normal ranges the results are unpredictable (no crashes, just unrealistic results) - wind speed below 4 mph is locked to 4 (anything less has no apparent effect).
wthrcalc was created to fulfill a need for anything weather for my son, Kenneth M, and to have a small footprint on my already overstuffed IIIe special edition.
