Free currency software for pda

Currency features 146 currencies, the 13 old Euro currencies and 10 fully configurable entries for user defined currencies or trade quantities.

A fully configurable display enables the synchronous conversion of up to 8 simulataneous currencies.

The exchange rate date is stored for each individual currency, providing an easy mechanism for assessing the validity period of critical rates.

A visual warning marks outdated rates. A fully functional algebraic calculator and a single button tax adder / subtractor simplify common arithmetic operations.

The exchange rates can be updated by downloading a small daily updated currency database (cupdate.pdb) and syncing it to your PalmOS device.

The update is done daily around 18:00/18:30 UTC with the spot exchange rates for 146 currencies.

The java conduit from Tim Endres used in previous Currency versions to automate the update of the currency database has been adapted to the current versions of HotSync.

It is also included in the zip file and contains a fix to make java based conduits work with HotSync 6.0.x.

FreeCurrency is a currency converter that is freeware and open source.
It features a convenient interface: just fill in the currency you know, and you will immediately get the currency you dont know.
I wrote FreeCurrency because I was disappointed at the slow and clumsy interfaces for some of the other currency converters I saw, and also because I was surprised that I couldnt find a free currency converter. (Of course, as many have later pointed out, other free currency converters exist).
Currency was designed chiefly with tourists and travelers in mind.
This ZIP file includes the complete C++ source code, which is open source under the BSD license.

CurrencyConv is an application for you to check out the currency rates and convert a sum from one currency to another.
Usage Notes
Simply choose the three currencies you wish to view from the dropdown list.
Type in the amount to convert for any of the three currencies.
To get the latest currency rates, connect to the internet and click on the Update button.
Other Notes
If currency update module does not work, please download the currency file here, save as "currency.xml" and place it in the same folder as the program.
Enhancements:
- Fixed tab order.
- Added error message box to indicate update failure.

The currency converter uses a webservice provided by webservicex.com to download the conversion rates
Once downloaded, the rates are then cached for times when the device does not have an active internet connection.
