Rseven (Windows Mobile) 1.03 offers users a full-featured smartphone backup and synchronization service. Your mobile phone is your most personal device; it is with you most of the time. MMS messages can be easily sent from MMS compliant mobile phones to any email address. However. email clients do not play MMS presentations as they look on a phone. Instead, email clients show MMS messages as regular email with attachments. MCVO allows playback of MMS messages in MS Inbox on Pocket PC 2002 email client in the same way they look on mobile phone.

This system extension allows you to send short text messages from applications supporting the "Send..." command, for example the built-in Contacts, Memos, Calendar, Tasks.

Theoretically, it can also send SMS on other devices if there is an SMS-handling application registered in the system.
Usage
Select "Send..." from the menu
Select "SMS"
The text is pasted into the message, now you can fill in the "To:" field and click Send
Limitations
It can only send Text, exactly like if you typed it yourself. The receiver will also get the data as text only. For Memos this is obviously not a problem. For Contacts, Calendar events, and Tasks you can use RNS: TreoVCardReceiver to automatically transfer the incoming data into the associated application.
The amount of text is limited by the medium, you cannot send more than a few hundreds of characters.
And of course no binary data (it would be hard to find the binary file to match the size limit anyway).
What about the built-in Messaging/MMS?
On the Treo 600 you can send this kind of data with the built-in MMS application (call "Send", pick "MMS") - but there is no option to select SMS instead of MMS. On Treo 650 it is called "Messaging" instead of MMS and it is even worse (all you get is: "The messaging application does not support this type of item.").
