CalcNote is developed with attention to peculiarities of Pocket PC. It doesnt cover the whole working area of the screen and can be easily moved to any place. You can change the size of CalcNote with one click. It doesnt capture the keyboard focus from other programs. CalcNote is just like your desk, where along with business documents there is always a sheet of paper, pen and calculator enabling you to write down the information and make the necessary calculations without bothering yourself with technical features of your Pocket PC.


Typical cases of CalcNote usage. Sometimes you need to write down quickly some phone number or address. Your interlocutor may not like waiting for you to run you Pocket PC, open Contact application, make new entry and enter phone number in the appropriate field. Its much easier to click the CalcNote icon, press the New button to create a new note and write down the number or draw an approach plan manually. CalcNote will automatically name the note using the first line of the text and save the note on the PC. Thus, you can create notes quickly without being afraid that some of them will be missed. In your spare time, you can rewrite your notes into the appropriate program, classify the information and delete unneeded note from your computer.

Sometimes its very important to make calculations quickly. For example, youve got e-mail containing figures to be calculated. Of course you can switch into your standard calculator that will cover the whole screen and the e-mail with the important information, but its not the best way. Its more convenient to click once the CalcNote icon - a calculator that covers only one fourth of the screen will be opened. You still can see the figures in the e-mail - you can easily write them down or copy them into the calculator, make necessary calculations and then copy the result to any of the programs

JYear is a simple Desk Accessory to convert Japanese Years to Western years.

Unlike western notation a Japanese Year is recorded as the year of the reigning emperor.
For example the year 2001 is commonly known as the year of Heisei 13.

This DA converts between recent Japanese years and western years. As a bonus it also tells you the Japanese year horoscope.

DA Launcher is HACK type program that launches Desk Accesorry which is new type application on PILOT.
On Palm OS (on which Pilot and Palm Pilot runs), only One Application can run at the same time.
Pilots launch time is very short and well designed application can keep its status, so Its not so bad for user.
But Havent you feel bothered when you must quit application to see Graffiti Help and resume it? Its same when you want to see todays date.
As for developers side, I want to develop some application that handles other applications data but ordinary application cant do that.
So we must make it as a HACK. But HACK damages speed and stability even when its not used only installed. Desk accessory is a small applet for such utilities.
Desk Accessory can run overt the Application. You dont have to quit application to run Desk Accesorry.
When Desk Accessory quits, Application continues to run. Im sorry but We must develop Desk Accessorry as Desk Accessory( not as ordinary Application) .
Im planning to release rules and samples to develop Desk Accesorry.

AsciiPop DA is a desk accessory that opens a pop-up window with a full ASCII chart.
Must be used in conjunction with a Desk Accessory launcher.
To use:
Use the up/down buttons, or tap the up/down icons to switch between the two screens of characters.
Tap on the desired character.
If you tap Okay, the chosen charactor is copied to the clipboard.
If you tap the clipboard icon, the chosen character is also pasted directly into the application.
This application is freeware.

FlickerFixDA 1.0 is regarded as a flexible and handy desk accessory that can fix the flicker when running certain grayscale programs under PalmOS 3.1.1.

It works by allowing you to easily switch between two modes of operation: flickerFree (but streaky), and streakFree (but flickery). Requires some sort of DA launcher to use.
