The default sort is by month and day so you can easily scroll through the year to see all of the upcoming events that you need to send cards or gifts for.
Unlike other special days type applications, this one lets you sort by the day and month of the occasion. Rather than seeing all of the events grouped by age, you can see all of your October or November events together. That way, you can scroll to that part of the list early in the month, and know all of the events coming up.
