windRose 0.4.1 description
windRose is a MIDP application for delivering navigation services to a PDA/CellPhone with a connection to a GPS receiver (including BlueTooth connections). The initial release provides positioning information (latitude and longitude), altitude, speed and course information.
windRose is planned to become the PDA interface for the trip planning capabilities of blueMarine.
The current release of windRose has been tested with:
palmOne Treo 650 and 700w (IBM J9 Java Virtual Machine) and external Hamlet BlueTooth GPS Receiver.
iPaq hw6515a and the integrated GPS receiver (IBM J9 Java Virtual Machine)
To run windRose on the Treo 700w you have to do an update to your Java setup (this is because on the 700w J2ME doesnt include the JSR 75 by default, which is needed to export the trip date).
System requirements:
- J2ME
