The SmartProfile enables your phone to work under proper profiles automatically according to your time schedules or your locations. For example, you may need your phone to be silent from 11 pm to 5 am every day, and be in meeting profile from 10:30 am to 11:30 am every Monday, all you need to do is to set up the schedule using SmartProfile, then the application will take care of setting your phone to use proper profiles automatically. Or you may need your phone to be silent in a cinema or a library, then just let SmartProfile remember the locations and it will change your phones profiles accordingly for you! Free upgrades!

The application is a Symbian Signed application backed by the industrial standard Quality Assurance testing procedure.

Quick Guide

- How to set up a profile schedule for a day.

Press "Options->Todays schedule", and you will be directed to the schedule page of today. Press Left/Right to cycle through from Monday to Sunday.
Press "Options->Add", and follow the wizard to choose the start time of the schedule, the duration of the schedule, and the profile that should be applied for this schedule.
Press "Options->Set type" to mark the schedule as one-time schedule or a repeated schedule. A one-time schedule will be applied once and deleted automatically afterwards. A repeated one will be applied on the same day of the week.

- How to change a profile schedule for a day.

Press "Options->Todays schedule", and you will be in the schedule view of today.
Use left/right navigation key to go to the schedule view of the previous day of the week or the following day of the week
Scroll down to the shedule item you want to change.
Press "Options->Edit profile" to change the profile attached to the schedule.
Press "Options->Edit time" to change the time period of the schedule.
Press "Options->Set type" to change the schedule as one-time one or a repeated one.

- How to set up a time schedule for a profile.

In the profile view, scroll down to the profile you want to set a schedule for.
Press "Options->Profiles schedule", and your will be directed to the schedule view of your chosen profile. Press Left/Right to cycle through from Monday to Sunday.
Press "Options->Add", and follow the wizard to setup the start time, duration of a time period for the profile.
Press "Options->Set type" to mark this schedule as a one-time or a repeated schedule.

- How to change the time schedule for a profile.

In the Profile view, highlight the profile you want to set a schedule for.
Press "Options->Profiles schedule", and you will be in the schedule view of the profile.
Scroll down to the schedule item you want to change.
Press "Options->Edit" to change the time period of the schedule.
Press "Options->Set type" to change the schedule as one-time one or a repeated one.

- How to save your current location.

When in the Profile view, press "Options->Location view", and you will be directed to the Location screen.
If your current location is not saved yet, it will be shown as "Unknown" on the top of the screen. Press "Options->Save this location", then you can name your current location.
All the locations with the same name will be merged as one location.

- How to assign a profile to a location.

In the Profile view, scroll down to the profile of your interest, and press "Options->Attach location", then choose the location for the profile.
Or in the Profile view, press "Options->Location view" to switch to the location screen.
Use the navigation key to select the location of your interest, and press "Options->Assign profile" to choose the profile for the location.

- How to copy a schedule.

When in the Schedule screen, highlight the schedule item you want to copy.
Press "Options->Copy", and choose the day of week you want copy to.

- How to set up Calendar rule.

Press "Options->Calendar rule" to specify keywords. The "default profile" in the calendar rule screen specify what profile to use for the calendar entries that dont have any keyword matched; if set to "None", then those entries will be ignored.
Only the calendar entries within current week are shown, but Smartprofile will load your calendar automatically as days go by.

IMPORTANT

- SmartProfile ONLY starts changing your phone profiles when its running in background mode. So after you have finished add/edit the schedules/locations, go back to the Profile view, and press Hide to let SmartProfile run in background mode. And SmartProfile will change your phone profiles according to your schedules.

- The application identifies your current location by the cell (base station) thats serving your phone. Its possible that your phone is covered by more than one cell at some point, so after you name your current location (one cell), the application keeps detecting other cells of your current location. As a result, the application will show your location as the named one and "unknown" for a period of time. The application will merge those cells automatically eventually, or your can name the "Unknown" location again to manually merge them.
