SoftEXITs Data Messenger Server (DMS) brings wireless email alert technology to businesses of all sizes. Businesses can combine virtually any wirelessly enabled device with DMS to reap the benefits of empowering mobile users with information the moment it becomes relevant or available. Data Messenger Server is a notification server that runs on the existing Windows 2000 or Windows XP platforms. DMS monitors a database for configurable changes in data or unchanged aging data resulting in notifications are "pushed" to standard email clients, wireless devices, wireless phones, or alphanumeric pages. Notifications are completely customizable from a template utilizing embedded smart field technology. Any network or device that is capable of receiving standard Internet e-mail could be integrated. DMS is not a gateway or an Application Programming Interface (API), it is a standalone software solution that resides behind a customers firewall. SoftEXIT designed DMS to be extremely easy to use; all notification commands are created using wizards to guide a user through the proper command setup. Once a user possesses rudimentary knowledge of DMS, notification commands can be setup in as little as five minutes. This short setup time is in great contrast to the time and expense it would take to develop a custom application, database trigger, stored procedure, or middleware. Knowledge of SQL is required for the creation of notification commands.
