LinkDirect 0.2 represents you a tool for PPP connection through the Palm serial port (i.e. the cradle or Hotsync cable). Specifically, it do not need any modem controls. This is useful if you have a computer on a company LAN (or other high-speed Internet connection) and wish to connect your Palm to the network via that connection. Unfortunately, before PalmOS 3.3, you cannot choose the speed of the connection, and it is fixed at 19200 bps, which is quite slow. LinkDirect allows you to make such a connection at higher speed.
