ZapCode has the ability to gather patient information from the Palm DateBook. This means that you don't have to enter patient names or ID numbers into the ZapCode. This feature provides a nice workflow integration with the office. The front desk personnel who make appointments can enter patient names and ID numbers into their desktop scheduling software, the Palm is then "synced" with the scheduling software.

When the practitioner sees the patient, he or she just selects the patient from this menu option. The patient name and ID number are entered into the ZapCode record.This will work with any software that synchronizes with the Palm Datebook. In addition to the Palm desktop databook, this includes many popular appointment scheduling programs such as: Microsoft Schedule and Outlook, Lotus Organizer, ACT!, ECCO, Day-Timer Organizer. (Note that third party synchronizing software such as Puma's Intelli or TrueSync may be required to complete synchronization with some of these products).

Yahoo Calendar also works with the Palm and can provide shared enterprise-wide Internet based scheduling. Added is a new fast Palm Appointment calendar lookup so you can transfer patient information from your calendar to ZapBill.Also, there is a new date selector routine so you don't have to manually enter dates.
