The main screen provides easy access to all of the available tools of the application. More than one person can use the application to take a test. Each one can define their own user id and save the results to their account so that they can track their study evolution. The user can take a test, use the integrated Flight Calculator, manage tests, manage application settings or review results. For support a help tool is available from the main screen and from the other screens of the application.

Taking Tests

Each user has their method of study. Pilot Quest offers a complete solution for this.Once the test has been selected, it can be taken in three modes: "Learning", "Pre-Test" or "Test". Each mode has adjustable parameters so that the tests match the user’s preferences. The "Test" mode is designed to provide the user with an environment as close as possible to the real one.

Navigating through the questions is fast and simple. The user has tools such as: marking a question for a later look, navigation through the first unanswered or first marked question and a question list which serves as an index of the questions from the test taken. The user has a Flight Calculator tool which helps solve specific aviation problems as well as simple calculus problems. A test status is available at every moment so that the user can better manage their testing time.

The ratings part shows an overall score for the test as well as the score for each category. For learning purposes the user can see a review of the test that they have just taken. Thus the user has the ability to view the questions that they failed and learn from their mistakes. The results of the test can be saved so the users can track their learning progress.

Test Manager/Settings/Reviews

You have full control of the tests installed on the device. There are two kinds of tests. The standard tests which appear in the Installed Tests screen and the custom tests which can be viewed and managed in the Custom Tests screen. You can create your own custom test selecting as base test one of the standard tests installed on the device. The custom test contains questions from a selected chapter of the base test.

You can adjust settings so that they match your preferences. You can select the font face and size of the question text. More than one student can use the device so each one can define his own user and take the test with their account. You can also adjust the parameters of a test such as: pass score limit, time limit and whether or not to display images.

Users can monitor the test results, overall progress or a detail view with the score rated for each category of the test.
