KSE The Mill 1.0 description
The Mill is believed to belong to one of the oldest and most wildly known board games, which has been played centuries and millennia ago by the Vikings, Japanese as well as Africans.
KSE software wanted to combine this historical game with the new Windows CE generation. But be cautious, because if you have played KSE The Mill for just one time, the spell of the game will not release you anymore. This capturing Windows CE game offers every enthusiastic globetrotter always and everywhere the possibility of an interesting and challenging game against the computer player or another human opponent.
How to play!
The Mill board consists of three squares combined with each other. Each player will receive nine checkers and all checkers have to be set into the board before the checkers can be moved. The object both in laying pieces on the game field and in moving them, is to arrange three pieces of ones own color on a horizontal or vertical (not diagonal) line. Such an array is called a Mill.
On making a Mill, the player is entitled to remove one adverse piece from the game field; pieces so removed are dead, and never return into play. The player who is first reduced to two pieces loses the game
A piece that is part of a Mill may not be removed. Only when a player is reduced to just three pieces he may move any piece to any vacant point, regardless of connections. If this player (three pieces) has a Mill and his opponent closes a Mill, the opponent can then remove a piece from the Mill and the game is over.
If a Mill is opened by moving one piece off the line, then closed by reversing the move, it counts as a new Mill. A player who cannot move, while it is his turn to move, loses the game.
Main features:
- powerful computer player
- different board patterns (wood, marble, etc.)
- highscore list
- excellent graphic
- great sound
- time and player display
- complete pen control
System requirements:
- Pocket PC with Windows CE 3.0
- at least 130kb available RAM
- supported SH3, MIPS or StrongARM Processor
