5InRow is a simplified version of game "GO". Two players play the game. The computer program can act as one player. You win the game by forming a continuous row of 5 pieces of your color in any direction. 5InRow is a mind challenger. It will test your intelligence to the limit.
5InRow is played on a square board. The square board has 19 horizontal and 19 vertical lines. It forms a 19 x 19 grid. Black and white circular pieces are placed on the grid points(where the horizontal/vertical lines intersect). Before playing, each player chooses a colour. The player chooses black always goes first. A player wins the game if 5 pieces of his/her colour form a continuous row in any direction (horizontal, vertical or diagonal). There should be no gaps, no opponents pieces in between the row. More than 5 pieces in the row do not count as a win.
When "5InRow" is started, it goes into the demo mode. At the bottom of the window, it shows "Options". Press the left selection key will show the "Options" menu. Press the right selection key will exit the game. When playing, use the joy stick to move the piece up/down/left or right. To place the piece at that position, press the joy stick.
