CatchFish 1.0

CatchFish is inspired by famous JezzBall game but adds some new features.

Your goal is to fill the game screen with your fishing net so the fish have as little space as possible. When you click in the game field you throw the fishing net from that place. When one side of the net reaches game field border or existing net the whole area is filled by the net. But if any fish crosses your net while the net is still flying it is destroyed and you loose one life.

You can switch between horizontal and vertical orientation of the net by clicking right mouse button (on PC), clicking on the direction icon on the left top of the screen or by dragging the mouse in the direction you want (this is the easiest method on PDA). You can also press the mouse button and hold it (and eventually switch direction by dragging) and release the button at any moment you need.

Features

- Game is one single executable file "CatchFish.exe". No additional files and no installation is needed, you simply copy the exe file and run it on your PC with Windows or your PocketPC PDA. The full game is only 1.00 MB in size so there is also no need to worry about space on your PDA, you can save the game directly to your main memory or on storage card.

- Game can run in screen resolution 240x320 or 480x640 (hi-res graphics, no pixel doubling). On PocketPC PDA it is detected automatically according to your device physical screen resolution, on PC VGA resolution is used.

- Game difficulty can be set in 5 steps: Very Easy, Easy, Normal, Hard, Very Hard. (The difficulty setting affects overall game speed, fill ratio, time limit, number of lives and score counting).

- Number of levels is unlimited. The basic scheme for the first levels looks like this:
* Level 1 - one basic fish
* Level 2 - two basic fish
* Level 3 - three basic fish
* Level 4 - four basic fish
* Level 5 - one piranha fish (this fish can eat your net which dramatically improves gameplay!)
* Level 6 - one piranha fish, one basic fish
* Level 7 - one piranha fish, two basic fish
* Level 8 - one piranha fish, three basic fish
* Level 9 - one piranha fish, four basic fish
* Level 10 - two piranha fish
* Level 11 - two piranha fish, one basic fish
* Level 12 - two piranha fish, two basic fish
* ...and so on
