PhatNotes Smartphone Edition is an advanced notes organizer for Microsoft Windows Mobile powered Smartphones and Desktop PCs. PhatNotes allows users to create notes and organize them by type, subject, creation and modification date. PhatNotes provides powerful text search, document security, and email capabilities. Interface to the Contacts Database enables quick access to email addresses and contact information.
PhatNotes Smartphone Edition also offers many enhanced features including hyperlinks between notes, multiple notes database support with tree-like views, hierarchical notes organizer, customizable views, user reminders, file attachments, voice notes, HTML export capability with support for customized templates, and more.
PhatNotes Smartphone Edition allows synchronization of notes located in multiple databases, links between notes and hierarchy of databases between Smartphone devices and desktop PCs. During installation you can choose if you want to install the PhatNotes application on your desktop computer or to synchronize your Smartphone notes with Microsoft Outlook.

- Properties dialog box - new command has been added to the main menu that allows changing properties of one or more selected notes. The properties include authoring date, password, priority, color, and category.
- ActiveSync 4.x support - improved notes synchronization supports latest versions of Microsoft ActiveSync.
- Notes colors in list view - note subjects in the list view mode can be highlighted with a note color.
- Select All command - allows to select all notes in the current view
- Desktop PC only: Every time you modify or create a note on the desktop PC new data is added to the PhatNotes database. When you delete notes on the desktop, the old data is not removed from the database; only a reference to this data is removed. Therefore, the PhatNotes database file can become quite large. The new PhatNotes Database Utility program can be used to compress the PhatNotes database by removing the unused data (the File/Database/Compress menu command). This will save some disk space as well as improve PhatNotes performance.
- Desktop PC only: When you create PhatNotes password-protected backups on the desktop PC, the new 256-bit encryption algorithm is used to encrypt all data. 256-bit encryption is also used for all passwords that are stored in the system registry.
