Home Shield 3.0 comes to you as an useful application which aims at allowing you to freely move from room to room throughout your home or business, gathering model numbers, serial numbers, and other relevant asset data directly to your Palm OS handheld.

Once all records are completed and a HotSync® function has been performed, you can generate and print pre-formatted reports from your PC with TBViewer*, a freeware report viewer. A report can then be provided to your insurance agent. Your insurance company will have an accurate record of your assets and asset value in the event of fire, natural disasters, power surges, vandalism or other loss of valuable personal or business assets.

You will also have a record of serial numbers available for law enforcement in the event of theft. The developer recommend you give a copy of your printed reports to a friend or family member residing at a different address, in case your own copy gets destroyed by fire or other disaster. Home Shield offers the additional benefit of tracking warranties. Home Shield calculates each item?s warranty expiration date for both parts and labor, and optionally sets reminders in the Date Book application.
