ContactMaster was developed as an alternative to the program "Contacts" from standard PocketPC distribution. ContactMaster is more intuitive, it shows more items in one moment and towards "Contacts" you can sort and view your contacts by FileAs, Company and Name.

View, Add, Copy and Edit...
ContactMaster is not only a viewer, it allows you to add new or modify existing contacts! There are several new options in menu helping you to do these tasks easily, as well as unique, multi-tab window. "Copy w/o Name" makes a complete copy of selected contact except the contact name. It is great for adding more contacts from one company, but you can find it useful also in another cases. Selecting "Copy..." you will make a identical copy of selected contact. "New..." opens an empty dialog where you can add all contact information and save it. There is also a nice feature allowing you to modify the display name of the contact, you can choose from five options like "LastName, FirstName", "FirstName LastName", "Company (LastName)" etc. (this is not possible to do in the original PocketOutlook Contacts!). Of course you can also edit or delete any contact. For the best performance, there are also two small images on the right side of the screen. These two pencils (red and green) allows you to Edit selected or Create new contact faster than ever before.

To add or edit an item on the multi-tab window simply tap the underlined blue itemname (e.g. "LastName", "Company",...). Then you can edit or add a textstring directly in a popup window. To switch the items (Business/Home/Phones etc.) please tap one of the color tab on the top of the window. You can edit (Write or Draw) the notes, too...

Cards...
ContactMaster consists from three cards - [Business], [Home] and [Other].

This card you can select through tapping on the turnup or calling the function from menu. The contact you wish to view you can select standardly from the combobox or you can use the PocketPC minikeyboard and tap on the letter that corresponds to the first letter in the contact. So you can very quickly find the contact youre searching for.
On the card [Business] you can find informations about the name and title, about the company and its website, complete business address, business and mobile phone numbers, fax number and all e-mail addresses. Tap the website item to open it in InternetExplorer or the email address to launch the email client!
On the card [Home] are stored informations about home address, all home phone numbers, pager (or 2nd mobile phone) and family (spouse and children).
On the card [Other] you can find informations about the other business address and assistant and his phone number. Tapping on the button "Notes" you will open a window with contact notes.

From the program menu you can set cardview, sorting of contacts (FileAs, Company, Name), open window with contact notes, refresh the content of combobox (reread contacts database), and more ...

You can use QuickNav bar on the top of the main window for quick letter by letter contact navigation.

Photos and Company Logos...
Since the version 2.0.1, ContactMaster offers a great ability to attach photos or company logos to every contact in your Contacts database. You can even have a different picture for the business and home section!

Adding an image is very simple. Image must be saved in a .BMP format and must be stored in My Documents folder or its subfolder. Then select Picture -> Associate... from the menu bar and choose requested image. If you like to attach a logo, there must be a "logo" string in the name of the picture (e.g. "CompanyLogo.bmp").

Requested sizes for images are:
Photo - 234x262 pixels, but can be smaller
Company logo - 48x54 pixels

If you want to remove assigned picture, just click the Picture menu again and choose "Remove".

(Please dont forget - for the picture informations are used the items "CarTel" and "Radio" from Contacts database)

Then simply tap on the picture icon in the upper right corner of the Business/Home card and voila - you see it in the normal size and full resolution! To close the picture tap on it or use the [OK] button in the upper right corner of the window.
